Education & Clinical Background

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with years of experience treating patients in the New York City area. I completed my predoctoral internship at Bellevue Hospital Center and postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University. I have also trained at various other major hospitals, including Memorial Sloan Kettering and Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, gaining experience working with a diverse range of patients, including people diagnosed with terminal illness, substance users, and emerging adults.

While clinically I consider myself a generalist, my research primarily focuses on the relationship between death awareness and love (dissertation: Till Death do us Part: The Effect of Mortality Salience on Satisfaction in Long-Term Romantic Relationships”). I now give presentations and lead retreats aimed towards helping people accept inevitable mortality, so that they may live and love more fully.
